In a town named Safetyville, there was a curious little bunny named Lulu. Lulu loved exploring, and her floppy ears perked up whenever she discovered a new part of the town. But there was one thing Lulu always hesitated to do – cross the street.
Every time she approached a road, Lulu would remember the wise words of her Grandma Luna: “The world is full of wonders, Lulu, but always remember to look both ways before you leap across the street.”
One sunny day, Lulu saw a beautiful, colorful butterfly fluttering on the other side of the road. Entranced, she forgot her grandma’s advice and started hopping towards it. Just then, a magical crosswalk appeared in front of her. From the lines of the crosswalk emerged Zara, a zebra with shimmering stripes.
“Whoa there, Lulu!” said Zara, extending a stripe to stop the bunny. “Remember what we do before crossing?”
Lulu nodded. “We… look both ways?”
Zara smiled, “Exactly! Left, then right, then left again, to make sure the road is clear and bright!”
Lulu did as she was told. First, she looked to her left and saw a car approaching. She waited. Once the car passed, she looked to her right and saw a skateboarder zooming by. After making sure it was all clear, Lulu hopped across safely with Zara by her side.
On the other side, the butterfly landed on Lulu’s nose, tickling her. “Thank you, Zara,” Lulu giggled. “I’ll always remember to look both ways.”
From that day on, not only did Lulu always check both directions before crossing, but she also told all her friends about the magical crosswalk and the importance of being safe. And Zara, the shimmering zebra, continued to watch over the little adventurers of Safetyville, ensuring they always remembered their lessons.
So, little ones, whenever you’re near a street, remember Lulu’s adventure and always look both ways before your feet meet the concrete.
