On a bright green morning—so green it made the grass feel ticklish—a tiny leprechaun named Finnegan O’Fizz popped out of his mushroom house and stretched his arms wide.

But something was wrong.

Finnegan didn’t giggle.

He tried again. “Hee hee!”
Nothing.

“Oh no,” he gasped, patting his pockets. “I’ve lost me giggle!”

Now, this was serious business. Finnegan’s giggle powered all the silly magic in Clover Hollow. Without it, socks might stop dancing in the dryer, pancakes could forget how to flip, and rainbows might come out a little… beige.

Finnegan grabbed his shiny green hat (which promptly sneezed—Achoo!—because it was allergic to pollen) and skipped off to find help.

First, he visited Molly the Mouse, who was wearing a thimble as a hat.

“Did you check under the sofa cushions?” Molly squeaked.

Finnegan checked. He found three buttons, a jellybean, and a sock that smelled like adventure—but no giggle.

Next, he asked Paddy the Pig, who was practicing tap dancing in mud puddles.

“Try laughing backwards!” Paddy oinked. “Ho-ho-ho becomes oh-oh-oh!”

Finnegan tried. He fell over laughing at how silly it sounded—but still no giggle.

Finally, Finnegan wandered to the edge of Clover Hollow, where a group of children were decorating the path with clovers, paper rainbows, and glittery gold coins for Saint Patrick’s Day.

One little girl looked up and smiled.
“Why do you look so sad?” she asked.

Finnegan sighed. “I’ve lost me giggle, and without it, Saint Patrick’s Day won’t be nearly as silly.”

The children thought for a moment. Then one boy made a funny face. Another did a wobbly chicken dance. Someone pretended their shoe was talking in a squeaky voice.

Finnegan blinked.

Then he snorted.

Then he snickered.

And suddenly—
GIGGLE-GIGGLE-GIGGLE!

Out popped his giggle, bouncing like a jellybean on a trampoline. The sky shimmered, a rainbow stretched from one end of Clover Hollow to the other, and Finnegan’s pot of gold did a happy little jig.

“Oh thank ye!” Finnegan laughed. “You’ve saved Saint Patrick’s Day!”

He sprinkled a pinch of silly magic over the children, just enough to make their laughs extra bubbly and their smiles extra bright.

And from that day on, Finnegan O’Fizz kept his giggle safe—right where it belonged—by sharing it with others.

Because the best magic of all…
is a laugh you give away.
